BIOGRAPHY
Nick Milburn founded National Auditing Advisors, Inc. in 1999 after a diverse career in the field of accounting and auditing. He gained public accounting experience with Price WaterhouseCoopers, served as Senior Bank Examiner for a large commercial bank organization, and became Director of Internal Audit and Special Projects for one of the largest North American developers of retail and diversified properties. Since the late 1990's he has been active in construction audit reviews for individuals and large corporations and served as a Sarbanes-Oxley audit consultant.
During his more than 20-year tenure in the corporate sector, he developed audit programs, managed and supervised audits for the company's diversified operations. He focused on retail investments, shopping centers, hotels/motels, and sports venues. Construction reviews also became part of his responsibility for the corporation.
NAAI, based in Sarasota, Florida, has performed reviews of multi-million construction projects in Sarasota, southwest Florida and the United States. The company's major areas of expertise are Construction Management Review and Small Business Consultation.
Nick Milburn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and economics from Cleveland State University. He is the author/instructor of a small business seminar entitled, "The ABC's of Financial Analysis for Small Business." Published articles include: "Lease Language - Critical Rent Clauses" in Shopping Center World magazine and "Construction Management Reviews Provide Objectivity in Project Analysis" in Florida Real Estate Journal.
He is a former member of the Downtown Partnership of Sarasota, Florida, Chamber of Commerce, and has served as a financial consultant on the Boards of Trustees for community Master and Homeowner Associations.
